Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician looking for a permanent days-based role with a strong manufacturing business?
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join an established engineering team in Trafford Park, supporting the maintenance and reliability of a busy manufacturing site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement, and wants to work Monday to Friday on a fixed early shift.
The Role - Electrical Maintenance Technician
Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping site machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
- Responding to and resolving electrical breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Diagnosing faults on complex electrical systems.
- Fault finding on 110V, 240V and 415V AC systems.
- Troubleshooting emergency stop circuits.
- Working with S7 PLCs, ABB inverters, Profibus and SCADA systems.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintaining accurate records through the company's maintenance management system.
- Maintaining appropriate levels of engineering spares and supporting improvements to spare-parts storage.
- Assisting with purchasing and ensuring parts are sourced efficiently.
- Supporting the wider maintenance team with mechanical and electrical activities.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop and working environment.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety procedures.
What we're looking for - Electrical Maintenance Technician
You will ideally have:
Level 3 Electrical Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working with S7 PLC controllers. xgikmsk
