Sales Team Leader + £33k basic + upto £1150/ month commission + Permanent role + 25 days holiday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Team Leader to join a successful and fast-paced sales team based in Battersea.
This is a genuine people-management role, where you will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a team of Sales Executives, whilst also playing an active role in the sales operation.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience managing or leading a sales team.
You'll need to be confident managing performance, coaching people and having those more challenging conversations when required.
As Sales Team Leader, you will
- Lead and motivate a team of Sales Executives to achieve individual and team targets
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and sales targets
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s, providing coaching, feedback and development
- Monitor calls and provide constructive feedback to improve performance
- Identify underperformance and put appropriate improvement plans in place
- Support team members with customer queries, objections and escalations
- Lead by example and maintain your own sales activity
- Help create a positive, energetic and high-performing team environment
- Ensure the team follows agreed sales processes, procedures and best practice
- Work closely with the Sales Centre Manager to deliver wider sales objectives
- Recognise strong performance and share best practice across the team
- Deal confidently with attendance, conduct and performance issues when required
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customers receive a high level of service
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate
- Previous experience managing or leading a sales team.
- A strong background in sales, ideally within a target-driven environment
- Experience managing KPIs, targets and individual performance
- Confidence conducting 1-to-1s and performance conversations
- Strong coaching and people-development skills
- The ability to challenge and manage difficult situations when required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commercial and customer-focused approach
- Experience working in telesales, internal sales or a similar environment would be beneficial
- Confidence using CRM systems and sales performance data
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
