My client situated in Bradford are looking for a Multi skilled engineer for their busy manufacturing factory.

Role Purpose:

Working in an FMCG food production site you will deliver effective and efficient service support for all manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving process, packing and ancillary equipment through daily job management and improvement activities.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Ensure breakdowns are addressed and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Fault find, diagnose and rectify both mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Deliver equipment preventative maintenance schedule to avoid machine downtime.
  • Continuous improvement activities to drive to improve machine uptime, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation, and safe operating procedures.
  • Project work as and when required.
  • To carry out any other reasonable management instruction to the expected standards which ultimately supports the business.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Recognised Electrical or multi skilling qualification or time served apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to investigate, diagnose and rectify faults to a proven level of competency is required.
  • Experience with electrical, single, 3 phase, motors and inverters, as well as PLCs fault finding experience and mechanical, pneumatics, bearings and drives experience is required throughout this role.
  • Previous experience with root cause analysis is advantageous.
  • A sound understanding of health and safety standards is required with experience of hygiene procedures, standards and equipment in the food industry is desirable.
  • Ability to record in writing or by the use of computers, various information such as work done, time taken, material used etc, in the appropriate equipment logbook or asset history file in accordance with record retention where required.
