My client situated in Bollington, Cheshire is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their ever-growing Engineering Division. The role will involve working on old and new machines completing reactive and planned maintenance, in a great working environment with a positive company culture.
Salary range: £44k-£46k DOE
Hours: Rotating 12-hour days and nights Monday to Friday.

Role Overview: We put our people's health and safety first and we are proud of our record that demonstrates that. Working in a fast-paced and busy environment, the role holder must be safety conscious, always considering not only their own safety but the safety of colleagues as well.
You will be part of an enthusiastic Engineering team whose purpose is to respond to breakdowns and maintain site-wide electrical systems in order to minimise engineering downtime, also providing continuous improvement support. You will be detail-driven, focused through CMMS on maintaining and improving a wide variety of machinery from state-of-the-art Coating machines down to slitting and sheeting machines.
You should be reliable, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to tackle and resolve issues as they arise. You will also be expected to contribute via audits and activities to continuous improvement, with an attention to workplace organisation that underpins our 5S standards.
Experience in the paper coating and converting industry is preferred but certainly not essential as training will be given. Mechanical qualifications essential/time served.
Further desirables: Tig welding, pipe fitting, boiler, strip pumps, fabrication & machining.
Shift pattern:
- Week 1: Mon-Thu Day shift 6am-6pm (4x12 hours)
- Week 2: Wed-Fri night shift 6pm-6am (3x12 hours)
- Week 3: Mon-Tue night 6pm-6am and Fri 6am-6pm (3x12 hours)
