We are working with a global market leader within the manufacturing industry, who are experiencing significant growth. They have some exciting future growth plans and are looking to add a Quality Inspector to their technical team. You will be joining an international team of experienced industry professionals to work within a leading business in the manufacturing industry. The Role
Working within the quality & technical function, the Quality Inspector will work independently and be a key proponent of the quality emphasis within a high value manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- First-off / last-off reporting.
- Product audits.
- Dimensional measurements & reporting including ISIR, SPC studies.
- Provide support to plant operations where required, including scrap investigation & reduction projects.
- Manage containment activities in response to customer, internal or supplier related issues.
- Maintain certification for large industrial dampers including working with external agency surveyors.
- Support sub-contract machining and assembly activities.
- Support industrial machining and support prototype builds.
- Investigation and reporting of customer returns.
What We Are Looking For
The Quality Inspector will be an ambitious individual who will ideally have gained exposure to a similar role in a manufacturing facility. Ideally you will be/have:
- Experience in a Quality focused role within manufacturing/industry (measurements and manufacturing process).
- Good understanding of technical drawings and GD&T / drawing symbols.
- Understanding of various measurement systems and techniques, including handheld measuring equipment and CMMs / form trace.
- Competency in using MS office software including Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of materials including cast iron, Steel, Aluminum.
- Good understanding of material testing techniques including die pent rant testing, ultrasonic testing.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling, casting, and forging.
- Ability and confidence to provide solutions and escalate issues where needed.
- Ability to work as a flexible team member with strong decision-making skills and a professional attitude.
- Be able to use and implement SPC.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems.
