If you’re after a Head of Finance role where you get the breadth, impact and influence you’d find in a large group — but with the pace, visibility and autonomy of an SME — this one’s well worth a look. The business sits in that sweet spot: global scale, investment, multi-entity complexity… but a UK team that’s small enough for you to genuinely shape how things are done. They’re on a clear growth plan following recent investment and are putting finance at the centre of that journey.
This is a newly created Head of Finance role (due to growth), partnering directly with an impressive senior leadership team. You’ll be the go-to person for everything across financial control, reporting, planning and business partnering — and you’ll have the freedom to modernise, challenge and improve things as you go. A lot of the work ahead is project-led.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Integrations following recent and future acquisitions
- Restructuring and improving processes across multiple entities
- Upgrading systems and embedding better controls
- Supporting the European business with consistent reporting, compliance and performance insight
- Driving continuous improvement across finance and operations
They’re very flexible in their approach. Hybrid working (2 days in the office), flexible hours, and a grown‑up working culture where you’re trusted to manage your own time. The team is experienced, collaborative and commercially strong — you’ll be working with people who genuinely value finance as a strategic partner. There’s also a succession plan in place. Whether your ambition is FD, senior commercial finance or something more transformation‑focused, there are routes to grow.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Ideally experience in a multi‑entity/group environment
- Background in financial control, reporting and business partnering
- Exposure to project work — new systems, integrations, process improvement, change
- Comfortable operating as the senior finance voice in the room
What’s on Offer:
- Broad, hands‑on, commercially impactful role
- Salary £75,000 to £85,000 + 20% Bonus
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Hybrid working & very flexible hours
- Private medical
- Real progression — clear line of sight to FD or senior commercial project roles
