This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants to step into a broader Group Finance Manager role in a growing, profitable, PE-backed business. The business is around £20m turnover today, with a clear plan to keep scaling. The next milestone is £50m, with a longer-term ambition to build towards £100m. There are also acquisitions on the horizon, so finance is going to play a big part in how the business grows from here.

You’ll be reporting into the Finance Director and working closely with a genuinely supportive senior leadership team. The PE partner is hands‑off, so the business still feels entrepreneurial, fast‑moving and people‑led, but with the backing and ambition to grow properly.

The role has plenty of substance. You’ll take ownership of group reporting, oversee month end and support continued improvements around controls and reporting quality, while leading a small finance team. The first year will give you plenty to get stuck into. You’ll be helping bed in a new finance system, reviewing current processes, improving reporting quality and making sure the finance function is ready for the next stage of growth. As the business scales, the role should grow with it.

There’s a clear opportunity here to refine your skills, build confidence across group finance, get exposure to acquisitions and work in a business where progression is genuinely on the table. The culture is a big part of the appeal too. It’s lively, commercial and people‑focused, with plenty of energy and a business that puts a lot back into its employees. They offer flexible hours, three days in the office, two days working from home, gym membership, private healthcare, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and an equity bonus scheme.

They’re open on background. This could suit someone already in industry, or a first‑time mover from practice who wants to step into a broader role. The key things are approach, technical understanding, willingness to learn and a genuine appetite to keep developing.

What you’ll be involved in:

  • You’ll be working across group reporting, month end, consolidations, controls, audit and statutory reporting, while also supporting the FD with process improvement, systems development and preparing finance for future growth.
  • You’ll also lead and support a small finance team, giving them structure, direction and helping them continue their own development.

What they’re looking for:

  • Good technical understanding and financial control experience.
  • Group, multi-entity or consolidation experience would be ideal.
  • Comfortable supporting, coaching or developing others.
  • Someone who wants to grow with the business.
  • First‑time movers from practice will absolutely be considered.

Package:

  • Salary up to £65,000.
  • Equity bonus scheme.
  • 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

This is a great move for someone who wants more ownership, exposure to a growing PE-backed business, and the chance to build something with a Finance Director who will support their development.
