The predicted salary is between 85000 - 95000 ÂŁ per year.
Two newly created roles with a salary of ÂŁ85,000 to ÂŁ95,000 plus a 10% bonus and benefits. Hybrid working, with one day a week in the office.
The business has grown both organically and through acquisition, operating across multiple divisions, products, and international markets. This growth has created the need for more commercial finance support close to the leadership teams. These roles are being created because the business is growing and finance is becoming even more embedded in the decisions that matter.
Both roles report into the CFO and support different divisions of the same group. The brief is broadly the same: be the commercial finance lead, own the numbers, challenge the thinking, and help the business make better decisions. There are no direct reports at this stage, so these are not “manage from a distance” roles. You’ll need to be senior enough to influence the conversation while still being happy getting into the detail, building the model, and challenging the assumptions yourself.
What you’ll be doing includes:
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Strategic planning
- Performance analysis
- Investment modelling
- Pricing
- Commercial decision support
- Supporting business cases for new opportunities
There will also be exposure to M&A and due diligence activity, but the bigger piece is helping the business make better decisions day to day.
What they’re looking for:
- Experience in a larger, more complex business environment
- Proper commercial finance experience
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and challenge assumptions
- Understanding of what drives revenue, margin, cash, and profitability
This role is probably not right for someone who wants a pure reporting role or needs a lot of structure. It is better suited to someone who enjoys being close to the action, likes figuring things out, and can bring commercial common sense to decisions that are not always black and white.
Package includes a salary between ÂŁ85,000 and ÂŁ95,000 depending on the role and experience, a 10% bonus, private health and dental, pension matched up to 8%, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, gifted shares when you join, and flexible hybrid working.
If it sounds of interest, drop me a message and I can talk you through both roles properly.
