Looking for a part time role where you can still make a big impact? This could be just the thing.
Group Financial Controller (Part Time) | Employee Owned SME | Nottingham HQ
A great opportunity to join a successful, employee owned business with a genuine people first culture. They’re well established, growing steadily, and building for the long term — with a close knit team and a real sense of shared purpose.
They’re employee owned, which means everyone has a stake in the success of the business, and it shows in the way they operate. Collaborative, open, and down to earth, it’s a team that values doing things properly and investing in its people.
They’re looking for a commercially minded Group Financial Controller to work closely with the Finance Director and help shape what comes next. This isn’t just about keeping the wheels turning — it’s a chance to bring fresh ideas, improve how things are done, and play a key role in future planning.
You’ll be joining a business that values autonomy, flexibility and continuous improvement. If you enjoy variety, ownership, and working with people who care about what they do — you’ll fit right in.
The Role (3 to 4 days per week, hybrid working):
- Own the monthly group reporting and board pack preparation
- Lead and develop a small, capable finance team
- Support the wider leadership team with insight and commercial input
- Oversee cashflow, payroll and audit, with a focus on driving efficiency
- Help modernise reporting, improve processes, and explore automation opportunities
- Play an active role in budgeting, forecasting and longer term planning
The Offer:
- 5% Monthly Employee Owned Bonus
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Flexible part time role | 3 days in the office
What they’re looking for:
- A strong grounding in financial management with an eye for improvement
- Someone who enjoys both the detail and the bigger picture
- Comfortable leading people, improving processes, and influencing change
- Ideally used to working in a growing SME or multi entity environment
A great role, in a great business — flexible, visible, and genuinely interesting.
