I am exclusively partnering with a growing Financial Services business to recruit a newly created Credit Risk Manager for their mortgage portfolio. They are known for its purpose driven approach, balancing strong growth with sustainable and responsible lending. There is a strong risk culture with mature frameworks across credit, operational, compliance, and financial crime and they are currently undergoing digital transformation, improving modelling and MI capabilities.

The role offers flexible working, full time or part time 4 days a week, and reports into a mature 2nd line risk function.

The Role

This is a hands on 2nd line credit risk role, working directly with a small, but growing mortgage book. The focus is on building and improving MI, enhancing risk modelling, and supporting ICAAP reporting. You will collaborate with distribution and product teams, providing credit insight, challenge, and analysis.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in mortgage credit risk
  • Strong technical knowledge of risk frameworks, ICAAP, and MI development
  • Commercial mindset, able to balance risk and lending objectives
  • Comfortable working hands on with distribution and product teams
  • Analytical, proactive, and able to work in a small, collaborative team

Salary range up to £57,000 + bonus, strong pension contribution and other benefits. Fast growing business with development opportunity. Hybrid Working model (2 days a week in the office).
