A newly created Head of Commercial Finance role with a large, profitable, multi-site consumer business going through a really interesting period of growth and change. There is a lot happening across the business, including new investment, new commercial opportunities, a broader mix of income streams, and more focus on using finance to support better commercial decision making.
About the Role
This is not just a reporting role. You'll lead commercial finance across a key area of the business, working closely with senior operational leaders and with direct exposure to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Commercial analysis across key income streams
- Partner and contract performance
- Customer spend and margin insight
- Challenging performance and highlighting opportunities
- Turning numbers into clear commercial recommendations
You'll also manage 1 direct report, with scope for that to develop further as the finance team continues to grow.

- Strong commercial finance experience
- Background in a trading, multi-site, retail, hospitality, leisure, consumer, property, services or FMCG environment
- Confident working with operations and senior stakeholders
- Able to get into the detail, but still see the bigger picture
- Comfortable challenging performance and influencing decisions

This would suit someone already operating in senior commercial finance, or someone ready to step into a broader Head of Commercial Finance role with more ownership, visibility and progression.
