The Role
The Production Manager will manage projects from pre‑production through final delivery, preparing call sheets and schedules, coordinating crew and equipment needs, and supporting smooth shoots. They will work closely with editors in post‑production, ensuring final assets meet brand and technical standards. The role also contributes to content development, manages budgets and hard costs, and keeps project files, licensing, and deliverables organised. As a small, collaborative team, the role may also take on additional responsibilities as needed.
How You Will Make Your Mark
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the production process.
- Communicate project milestones, feedback, requirements, and approvals clearly and professionally.
- Manage expectations and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and partners.
- Support the Head of Creative Services and account teams in scoping, briefing, and presenting production approaches.
- Prepare detailed call sheets, outlining shoot schedules and essential information for cast and crew.
- Source and coordinate skilled crew members, including camera operators, gaffers, sound engineers, and DIT support.
- Secure necessary production insurance and equipment rentals, ensuring smooth and compliant operations.
- Coordinate with editors throughout the post‑production process to ensure timely delivery of exceptional content.
- Deliver final assets, including packaging files, while meticulously adhering to technical specifications and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot any post‑production challenges and proactively seek solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all content.
- Develop comprehensive shoot schedules, optimizing time and resources.
- Create and manage project budgets, tracking hard costs.
- Maintain project files, ensuring all assets, documentation, licensing information, and deliverables are organised and readily accessible on our shared drive.
- Execute project wrap‑up procedures, archiving materials and completing necessary documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and keep stakeholders aligned throughout each project stage.
- Support the wider team on tasks as and when required to ultimately support client impact.
- Mentor junior members of the team to support skills growth, confidence and collaboration.
