As we continue to expand our content delivery, we are looking for volunteer writers and columnists to join our editorial team on a part-time basis.
Job Brief
Distilled Post is proud to welcome individuals who are looking to break into Journalism, Media and Publishing.
Our volunteer columnists will be responsible in aiding our in-house team with enriching our website with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy. You will be responsible for conducting research on our core industries (Finance, Technology, Business, Healthcare & Culture) and generating copy for articles to be published on the Distilled Post.
Ultimately, you’ll help us to deliver writing pieces that appeal to our target audiences: Industry Leaders, Key-Stakeholder Executives and individuals who want to remain ahead of the curve in tech, finance, healthcare and business.
Main Responsibilities
·Write rigorous and thorough articles dealing with healthcare, political and social matters
·Participate in Distilled Post’s expansion
·Collaborate with the team and get involved in eclectic projects
·Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
·Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
·Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems (WordPress, HTML)
·Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
·Submit work to editors for input and approval
·Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
·Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
·Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
What We Are Looking For
·Drive and motivation to write rigorous political articles on a weekly basis
·Strong interest in current affairs, healthcare, international business and journalism
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·The ability to provide a deep analysis and insight for our readership
·Proficiency in English (any additional European language is an advantage)
·The ability to put the news in context by using archives and data to provide perspective on any given news event
Main Qualifications
·University education or similar level of experience
·Excellent writing skills and good attention to detail
·An interest in politics, healthcare economics or finance
·Excellent collaborative skills with desire to develop within an ambitious project
