About the role
As a Purchasing Apprentice, you will support the Procurement Team in ensuring products are sourced efficiently, stock levels are maintained, and customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Procurement Specialists with creating reports for ordering, stock management, and monitoring purposes.
- Carrying out purchasing‑related system processes, including tracking stock in transit, receiving goods into stock, and processing supplier invoices.
- Liaising with the Sales Team regarding backorder enquiries, quotations, product pricing, and lead times.
- Assisting with product creation and maintenance within our MRP system, ensuring product information is accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the management of stock levels across multiple locations and arranging stock transfers where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring purchasing data is correctly recorded within company systems.
- Building effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
- Supporting other members of the procurement team and assisting with additional tasks as required.

This role is offered as a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, with training delivered by WS Training.
As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical skills and experience within our Procurement Team.
You will receive structured training and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship, combining workplace learning with dedicated study time to help you build a successful career in purchasing, procurement, and business operations.
The apprenticeship will cover a range of key business administration skills, including communication, data management, business processes, stakeholder relationships, IT systems, organisation, and continuous improvement.

Working Hours
This is a full-time role based on a 40‑hour working week. Standard hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a one‑hour lunch break.
