A leading multi-strategy hedge fund in central London seeks a highly skilled Python Data Engineer to spearhead the development of an automated data platform, enhancing alpha generation and exploration.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to identify data requirements and design data pipelines supporting research and trading activities.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure using Python and associated technologies.
- Establish and manage data processing workflows, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists to develop models and algorithms for generating alpha signals.
- Monitor and uphold data quality, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Continuously assess and optimize data infrastructure to accommodate new data sources, research methodologies, and trading strategies.
