This role will be within our clean water team that safeguards the quality, reliability, and performance of drinking water across our region. We work across complex network systems, enhancing, maintaining, installing, and repairing infrastructure from pipes to water meters, to ensure consistently high-water quality. Through proactive network management and resilient engineering, we help ensure communities have safe, dependable water supplies every day. Want to be a part of it? What will you be doing? We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Site Enabler to support the successful delivery of Clean Water operational activities across our region. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in utilities, construction, infrastructure, or operational delivery environments who enjoys working in the field, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and playing a key role in enabling safe and efficient project delivery. As a Site Enabler, you will act as the vital link between customer requirements and operational delivery, ensuring projects are accurately surveyed, effectively planned, and ready for successful completion. Key Responsibilities Undertake site surveys and assessments for Clean Water activities. Gather and record accurate site information to support project planning and delivery. Identify operational requirements, risks, constraints, and opportunities. Develop scopes of work and recommendations to support delivery teams. Liaise with customers, local authorities, contractors, landowners, and other stakeholders. Support operational workstreams including leakage investigations, water network activities, metering projects, and new customer connections. Ensure permits, notices, and permissions are identified and progressed. Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Produce survey reports, supporting documentation, photographs, and recommendations. Support performance improvements through accurate reporting and record keeping. What you’ll bring Do you have experience carrying out site surveys within utility, construction, infrastructure, or operational environments? Have you got a strong understanding of operational delivery processes and construction methodologies? Are you someone who has the ability to interpret technical information and develop accurate scopes of work? Do you have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you competent in Microsoft Office and mobile technology? Do you have the ability to work independently across a geographically dispersed area? Do you hold a full UK Driving Licence? Desirable Do you have experience within the water industry? Have you got knowledge of leakage activities, water metering, and new connections? Do you have an understanding of NRSWA requirements? Have you got experience of street works and permit processes? Do you hold IOSH, SHEA Water, or equivalent health and safety qualifications? Have you got knowledge of water network assets and infrastructure? What’s in it for you?
