The Senior Category Manager is a new role in the team. What will you be doing? Take ownership of the subcontract category strategy, developing and delivering a pipeline of value-driven initiatives that support business objectives. You'll identify opportunities to optimise spend, improve total cost of ownership and maximise value from the supply chain. Lead strategic sourcing and supplier engagement activities, building long-term relationships with key subcontractors and leveraging M Group's buying power to deliver commercial benefits, supply chain efficiencies and sustainable cost savings. Work closely with divisional Commercial and Procurement teams to improve visibility of subcontractor activity across the Group, encouraging collaboration, sharing market insights and supporting informed decision-making throughout project delivery. Drive continuous improvement across subcontract procurement processes, creating and implementing standardised tools, templates and ways of working that simplify supplier management and support the wider Procurement transformation agenda. Manage supplier performance and strategic relationships, including Group-owned suppliers, while leading and developing the Subcontract Category Manager. You'll champion innovation, sustainability and ESG priorities, ensuring procurement activities deliver both commercial value and long-term business success.
