This Assistant Design Engineer role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. What will you be doing? As part of the prestigious Southern Water contract, you will work under the supervision of a Lead Designer, managing and coordinating all activities and tasks within batch or scheme contracts to ensure the design of schemes/solutions within Pre-Tender, Investigation, Design, Construction and Completion stages. You will also ensure work is carried out in a productive and timely manner, maintaining a focus on minimising risk in all functions of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Commercial aspects, having a focus on good customer service and creating long-lasting relationships with clients to encourage profitable repeat business to meet the MGW corporate objectives. A key element of the Assistant Design Engineer role will be to produce design drawings and construction packages to reflect the work that is to be delivered in accordance with the relevant Engineering Specification and all relevant Asset Standards or equivalent to the specific contract. Additional responsibilities: Deliver investigation, design, construction and project completion activities in line with client requirements, company standards, national regulations and industry best practice.
