The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in the month-end and year-end processes, maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring robust reconciliations across key accounts. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who is eager to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Hybrid working, office based in Central London 1 or 2 days a week, with the rest remote.

We are hiring on a Temporary-to-Permanent basis, so ideal applicants will need to be available immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate management reports to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Post and reconcile monthly journals, including:
  • Prepayments
  • Vehicles
  • Employer’s Public Liability
  • Depreciation
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Produce and review the trial balance and ensure alignment with financial reporting standards.
  • Complete National Statistics submissions as required.
  • Reconcile:
    • Loan accounts
    • Balance sheet nominals
    • Debtors and creditors control accounts
  • Conduct reconciliations between systems.
  • Prepare and analyse bank reports and ensure accurate reconciliation.
  • Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Manage accruals and prepayment journals:
    • Annual accruals
    • Monthly supplier accruals
  • Provide cover for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Payroll functions as needed.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely VAT returns.
  • Requirements

    • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
    • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with reconciliations and journal postings.
    • Experience with accounting systems such as Access and Templa (desirable).
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Vlook Ups and Pivot Tables).
    • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
    • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
