Disrupt Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established AV and production company, working across corporate events, conferences, and exhibitions. The business has built a strong reputation over many years for high-quality, reliable event technology solutions — audio-visual, lighting, staging, digital signage, and live streaming — and is now looking to bring in a senior BDM to drive its next phase of growth.

The opportunity

This is a senior, largely autonomous role for someone who can own new business generation from day one. You'll be selling into agencies and exhibition contractors, working across both premium agency accounts and higher-volume stand-builder/everyday business, with a warm pipeline from an existing lead generation partnership to work alongside your own sourcing.

The business is looking for someone who's done this before, in this sector, and can prove it — a track record of delivered results matters more here than a strong pitch.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and drive new business across agency and exhibition contractor accounts, at both premium and everyday market levels
  • Convert warm leads from the company's external lead generation partner, alongside self-sourcing new opportunities
  • Build and manage your own sales pipeline, with clear visibility of forecast, conversion, and revenue against target
  • Represent the business client-side and on-site at events, balanced with regular time in the office
  • Work closely with the Managing Director on sales targets, reporting, and account strategy, feeding into the wider growth plan
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while keeping reporting transparent and accountable

What we're looking for

  • Proven BD/sales background from AV hire, production, or a closely related events supplier — ideally selling into agencies and/or exhibition contractors
  • A genuine, evidenced track record of results and client wins, not just strong interview presentation
  • Self-sufficient and able to hit the ground running with minimal handholding
  • Confident operating at both ends of the market — premium agency relationships and higher-volume, everyday exhibition business
  • Strong grasp of current events/production industry dynamics and client expectations
  • Senior enough to be trusted with target-setting and pipeline ownership from the outset
  • Comfortable with international travel and regular event attendance
