Warehouse Manager | Exhibitions & Live Events
Exhibition and Display Logistics Business
Lichfield (full time, on site)
Our client looks after the kit behind exhibitions, live events, airports and retail spaces. Their warehouses hold everything from exhibition stands to airport furniture and POS displays, all tracked on their own inventory system and shipped out to shows and sites all over the world. On the back of some big new contracts, they've just moved into a brand new warehouse and are setting it up from scratch. They need a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to take charge and make it run like clockwork.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll run goods in, goods out and returns, keep the inventory system bang up to date, and process orders so the right kit is picked, packed and ready ahead of exhibitions and live events. Almost everything they store is bespoke, so no two jobs are the same, and items often go out at short notice anywhere in the world by dedicated van or UPS. You’ll book collections, take deliveries, jump on the forklift, manage the warehouse team and own health and safety and ISO 9001 processes across the site.
This is a rare chance to shape a warehouse from day one. You’ll have real say over the layout and the new processes as everything gets set up fresh. Stock is spread across three local sites, so you’ll be driving between them in your own car, and it’s properly hands on, including loading furniture up to 25kg. If you know your way around import and export procedures and commodity codes, brilliant. If not, training is available.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar warehouse role
- A valid forklift licence, a full UK driving licence and your own car
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and solid health and safety knowledge
- Understanding of import and export procedures and commodity codes is a bonus (training provided)
- Basic computer skills and confidence keeping inventory software accurate
- Highly organised, hands on, with a strong work ethic and great communication and people skills
What's in it for you
- The chance to set up and shape a brand new warehouse your way
- Varied, bespoke work supporting exhibitions and live events around the world
- Company events
- On-site parking
- Sick pay
