The Role
As Senior Technical Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing concepts to life through expert detailing, design development, and close collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers. You'll be at the heart of technical delivery—translating creative ideas into feasible, buildable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings: including construction, graphic layouts, and service plans
- Work alongside designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure smooth project flow from concept to build
- Assist in resolving technical challenges during design and production phases
- Ensure designs align with budgets, timelines, and production capabilities
- Maintain adherence to industry regulations and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement in technical design processes and documentation
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in technical exhibition design or related fields such as retail, events, or construction
- Strong knowledge of materials, build methods, and finishes
- Proficient in SketchUp, Layout, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Confident in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
