Are you an experienced exhibition sales professional ready to take on a senior, high-ownership role with an ambitous, scaling business? If so, we want to hear from you!
About Our Client
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established B2B publisher and events company, connecting senior decision-makers across a range of specialist industry sectors through magazines, conferences, exhibitions and awards evenings. Their portfolio covers a diverse range of industries. It's a small, fast-moving, high-ownership team where individual contribution is highly visible and genuinely valued.
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Sales Manager to join their exhibitions team as a senior addition, most likely focused on their flagship show. This is a role with real ownership; you'll carry your own personal revenue target while also leading by example, working closely with the talented yet less experienced sales team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and exceeding a personal revenue target across multiple exhibitions
- Owning sales strategy for specific shows, working closely with the Head of Sales
- Leading pitch preparation and key account negotiations
- Developing insight-driven, client-tailored proposals
- Selling exhibition stands, sponsorships (including branded features), and upselling conference speaking slots
- Contributing to pricing strategy and floorplan design
- Mentoring junior Account Managers on pipeline discipline, rebooking and CRM best practice
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the wider portfolio
- Maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting
What We're Looking For
- 5-7+ years' exhibition sales experience, with a proven track record of hitting revenue targets
- Strong CRM, Excel and sales reporting skills
- A background from a smaller or scaling exhibition business, you'll thrive here if you enjoy visibility, autonomy and being close to the action
- A stable career history, with a genuine track record of commitment to previous employers
- A sector background in supply chain, logistics or a related industry is a bonus, but not essential
- Comfortable operating in a high-ownership, fast-paced culture, with the confidence to lead by example for a young, energetic team
What's On Offer
- Base salary: Β£45-50k, with some flexibility for the right individual
- Commission: Uncapped
- Location: London, office-based
- Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm
- Travel: UK show attendance guaranteed, with international travel opportunities as the portfolio grows
You'll be joining a collaborative, supportive team that moves fast and backs each other, with real scope to make your mark and help shape how the business grows.
