Business Development Manager - Custom Exhibition Stands
Rugby (1 day/week in-office) | £50,000-£60,000 + uncapped commission (2% of revenue on stands sold)
Disrupt Talent is recruiting on behalf of a leading custom exhibition stand contractor, who's looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business across international markets. This is a sales-focused role for someone who knows the custom build world inside out and can speak credibly to clients about design and build capability.
The role
You’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new clients for custom-build exhibition stands — prospecting, pitching, and closing deals across international markets. You’ll build genuine long-term relationships with exhibitors and marketing teams, working closely with the design and production teams to shape proposals, but the focus is purely on sales: bringing in new business and growing existing accounts. You’ll also support and help train the Business Development Executive, sharing your market knowledge and sales approach as they develop. Expect significant international travel to shows, client meetings, and pitches.
What You’ll Need
- 4-5+ years' experience in exhibition stand sales, with a proven track record selling custom builds (not just modular or shell scheme)
- A strong understanding of the build process — materials, lead times, logistics — enough to talk knowledgeably with clients and internally with design and production
- A genuine network or strong prospecting ability within the exhibition industry
- Comfortable with frequent international travelBased within reasonable commuting distance of Rugby, or able to manage the one day a week in-office requirement
