Event Operations Manager - Outdoor Events
Location - Hertford
Salary - up to Β£40,000, depending on experience

A leading organiser of large-scale outdoor consumer events is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to join a fast-paced and collaborative operations team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in live event operations who thrives in high-pressure environments and enjoys delivering complex outdoor events from planning through to onsite execution.
The Role
Reporting into the senior operations team, you will support the delivery of a portfolio of outdoor consumer events across the UK. You will take ownership of operational planning, contractor coordination, exhibitor management, logistics, compliance, and onsite event delivery.
The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused individual who can confidently manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and maintain high operational standards under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operational delivery of multiple outdoor consumer events annually
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, venues, and infrastructure partners
- Manage exhibitor logistics and communications
- Conduct site visits and contractor meetings
- Support event build, live operations, and breakdown phases onsite
- Ensure health & safety compliance and operational best practice
- Assist with scheduling, documentation, and operational administration
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery
- Handle real-time problem solving during live event environments
About You
- Previous experience in live event operations or event logistics
- Experience working on outdoor consumer events is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of event infrastructure, contractors, and operational workflows
- Knowledge of health & safety and industry guidance such as the Purple Guide
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, demanding environments
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Positive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
- Able to work collaboratively within an office-based team environment
