Want full ownership of marketing for a portfolio of established trade shows — and the autonomy to actually run with it? We're recruiting a Marketing Manager for the UK arm of one of the world's largest global exhibition organisers. It's a brand-new, standalone role with real scope to shape how the events are taken to market.

Important: this is a hands-on role. You'll own the strategy and do the doing — it isn't a brief-and-delegate position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning the marketing strategy and plans for two exhibition portfolios
  • Driving visitor numbers, exhibitor leads and audience quality against clear targets
  • Building and sending email campaigns yourself (e.g. Mailchimp), plus light HTML
  • Running the full marketing mix: email, social, SEO/PPC, content, partnerships, PR and direct mail
  • Creating content and campaign messaging that engages the community 365 days a year
  • Building relationships with exhibitors, partners, media and key industry figures
  • Managing budgets, tracking performance and reporting results to senior leadership
  • Supporting onsite delivery and the visitor experience at live events

What we're looking for:

  • A genuinely experienced marketer — ideally from exhibitions, events or publishing
  • Equally comfortable setting the strategy and rolling your sleeves up to execute it
  • Exceptionally organised and methodical, able to juggle multiple deadlines at once
  • Strong across email, content, copywriting, digital and the wider marketing mix
  • Confident with email platforms, CMS/CRM, Canva, Google Analytics and social channels
  • A natural relationship-builder who's proactive, detail-focused and calm under pressure
  • Happy working autonomously within a small, collaborative team

The package:

  • Salary £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience
  • Location London office (Southwark) — hybrid
  • Working pattern Monday & Friday from home, Tuesday-Thursday in the office (fixed days)
  • Holiday 25 days, rising to 28 with service
  • Benefits BUPA healthcare, pension, life insurance (4× salary), critical illness cover, on-site parking, cycle-to-work scheme
