About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Group Operations Support Coordinator to join a dynamic and fast-paced team at the NEC. This 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role will support the busy Group Operations and Event Teams, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. If you\’re a strong administrator, a whizz on back-office systems, and thrive in a busy environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Group Operations activities, including diary coordination and meeting management.
- Oversee financial processes for work orders and invoices, supporting the FM contract and capital project management teams.
- Manage safety management information such as Fire Risk Assessments and Safety Meeting details.
- Maintain and oversee information systems, including Sharepoint sites, ensuring smooth data management.
- Manage managers\’ diaries and meeting schedules, and track actions.
- Support technical project meetings, assisting with administrative tasks and managing project details.
- Raise purchase requisitions, check invoices, and ensure the correct authorisation processes are followed.
- Coordinate ad-hoc projects with other departments.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong administrative and coordination experience, ideally in a fast-paced, operations-heavy role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document and diary management.
- Familiarity with financial management and invoicing systems.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Previous experience using management systems, ideally within the NEC environment or similar.
- Experience in drafting reports, correspondence, and general administrative duties.
Vetting Requirements:
- Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to complete financial, reference, and asylum & immigration checks upon joining.
