Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid – Either Coventry or Manchester (3 days office per week)

Our client is a dynamic and experienced exhibition stand contractor, delivering high-quality, impactful exhibitions across the UK and Europe. They specialise in custom exhibition builds, creative stand solutions, graphics, and exhibitor enhancements.

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the successful delivery of exhibitions, from liaising with suppliers to overseeing project timelines and managing stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external suppliers, negotiate rates, and place orders for key exhibition elements such as furniture, audio-visual equipment, and bespoke elements.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth communication, providing the necessary production drawings, job specifications, and references.
  • Manage deadlines effectively, ensuring all information is submitted to the relevant teams promptly.
  • Be the main point of contact for contractors and teams working on the project.
  • Prepare sign-off documents, feedback forms, and folders for site use.
  • Collaborate with the design team to analyse and modify production drawings as per client or production requests.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Projects to plan and monitor resource allocation for future months.
  • Write and review health and safety documents, including method statements, risk assessments, and construction phase plans.
  • Attend meetings including handovers, pre-show, and post-show discussions.
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing production files and assisting the wider team.
  • Work with the Sales Director to identify repeat sales opportunities and drive organic growth.
  • Manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use finance software to raise purchase orders, monitor project spend, and manage invoicing.
  • Monitor the profit and loss of all projects with a strong commercial focus.
  • Produce post-show reports to maintain professional standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Be flexible with travel across the UK and internationally if required.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar project or events/exhibition role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards within the events industry.
  • Experience in a commercial environment with a good understanding of profit and loss reporting.
  • A proven track record in managing successful project deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple teams and deliver successful projects.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a client-focused attitude.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent communication skills.
  • Contract management and negotiation experience.
