We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established and highly respected live events and exhibitions business, operating across the UK and internationally. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to a Project Manager who enjoys variety and thrives in complex live environments. The successful candidate will manage projects across conferences, live events, exhibitions and hybrid experiences, taking responsibility for delivery from pre-production through to onsite execution and post-event reconciliation.
Working closely with Account Managers and senior stakeholders, this role acts as a critical link between clients, internal delivery teams and external suppliers.
The Role
- Managing live event, conference and exhibition projects from brief to delivery
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, exhibitors and internal teams
- Leading pre-production planning including schedules, budgets and logistics
- Advising clients on what is achievable and recommending appropriate technical solutions
- Coordinating suppliers, crew, equipment and production resources
- Managing artwork, graphics, staging, AV and production assets
- Overseeing onsite delivery, build and breakdown
- Managing health & safety and compliance
- Tracking budgets and reconciling costs post-event
- Contributing creatively to project solutions and event design
- Working within brand guidelines and client expectations
- Managing information accurately through CRM and internal systems
About You
Despite requiring a solid technical and AV understanding, this role suits a well-rounded Project Manager with experience across event production, live events and exhibitions.
You Will Typically Have
- Around 3+ years' experience within the live events or exhibition industry
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- A good working knowledge of event production and technical environments
- Confidence discussing AV and production (without needing to be hands-on)
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
- Experience managing suppliers, freelancers and production teams
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with wider teams
- A full UK driving licence
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office is beneficial but not essential.
Location & Travel
This is a predominantly remote role with occasional travel to offices and event sites. Minimum one team day per month at the Essex office. Regular UK and European travel, with occasional trips to the US. This role suits someone comfortable with travel and live event schedules.
