Commercial Resource Manager
Hybrid / Flexible (Shropshire)
Full-Time | £57,000 + bonus (linked to company GP)
Do you have a sharp eye for commercial planning, resource allocation, and operational optimisation in the live events world? We’re hiring on behalf of a fast-growing production company delivering exceptional technical production across live events, exhibitions, experiential, and virtual formats.
This is a pivotal operational/commercial role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the balance between people, kit, logistics, and profitability.

As Commercial Resource Manager, you’ll take the lead on how technical stock and freelance talent are allocated across a busy and growing project pipeline.
You’ll be the central link between project delivery and strategic planning – making sure each show or installation has the right crew, the right equipment, and commercially sound decisions behind them.
This role spans:
- Stock & asset management
- Capex planning & investment strategy
- Sub-hire management
- Freelance & crew forecasting
- Reporting & utilisation tracking
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor technical stock levels and forecast usage across AV, lighting, rigging, power, and networks
- Oversee sub-hire strategies—negotiating best value and ensuring availability
- Maintain and evolve the capital investment roadmap (working closely with SLT)
- Build and maintain a strong freelance and crew network—ensuring availability aligns with demand
- Refine and improve rental and booking systems (e.g., Current RMS, HireTrack)
- Create weekly/monthly reports on equipment utilisation, sub-hire spend, and ROI
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Directors, and Ops to keep all resource planning ahead of the curve
