Business Development Manager (Live Events) — We\’re on the hunt for a proactive, self-starting Business Development Manager to join a leading player in the live events industry. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in selling into Event Agencies, Event Management companies and End Users, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong client relationships across the UK and beyond.

A long-standing provider of high-quality AV solutions, this company delivers impactful live events across the UK and Europe. With in-house design, a wide equipment stock, and a blend of technical and creative expertise, they support everything from small meetings to large-scale conferences.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive New Business: Proactively identify and close new opportunities with event agencies, event management companies, and corporate end-users.
- Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships and collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions meet each client\’s unique needs.
- Proposals & Quotes: Prepare detailed quotations and proposals that align with client specs and commercial goals.
- Industry Insight: Stay informed on market trends, emerging tech, and competitor activity to shape strategy and unlock new opportunities.
- On-site Presence: Attend selected live event delivery days to support clients and gain insight into on-the-ground operations.
- CRM Management: Keep sales activity and pipelines accurate and up to date in the CRM system.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven success in business development in the live or corporate events space
- Strong network and experience working with event agencies, production houses, or corporate event teams
- Solid understanding of audio-visual equipment and services (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communicator – confident in negotiation, presentations, and relationship management
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own pipeline and targets
- Flexibility to travel for client meetings and to support international events (~10–15%)
- Familiarity with major UK venues such as ICC, NEC, or CBS Arena is a plus
