Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role, overseeing the delivery of maintenance and facilities management across a growing residential portfolio.
Working hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Mon - Fri (4 days in office)
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all properties are maintained to the highest standards and that maintenance operations run efficiently and effectively. You will manage both office-based and field teams, ensuring a seamless service that enhances the resident experience while optimising costs and performance. This is a strategic and hands-on role that blends leadership, analysis, and innovation. You will operate in a data-driven environment, using insights to improve service delivery, reduce turnaround times, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Field Operatives.
- Oversee reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring swift and cost-effective turnaround of properties between tenancies.
- Manage inspection regimes, including void inspections and pre-move out assessments.
- Use data to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Produce reports for senior leadership covering key operational metrics.
- Lead procurement and supplier management, ensuring value for money and service excellence.
- Oversee company fleet operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Head of Property Management to align maintenance strategy with business goals.
About You
- Proven experience in leading maintenance or facilities management teams within residential property.
- Strong background in unit churn processes, void management, and supplier coordination.
- Analytical and data-driven approach with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
- Experience in Build to Rent (BTR) or similar residential models desirable.
- Fleet management experience beneficial.
