We’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead one of our flagship luxury student residences, overseeing the commercial success of the building on behalf of our owners and ensuring an outstanding living experience for our residents. In this vital role, you’ll take full accountability for the day-to-day operations, inspiring your on-site team to deliver a best-in-class service that blends warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. You’ll set the standard for excellence, championing both performance and people development – ensuring your team feel empowered, supported, and driven to make every interaction memorable.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading, developing, and motivating an on-site team to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
  • Taking full ownership of the building’s commercial and operational performance – from occupancy and budgets to stakeholder reporting and compliance.
  • Building strong relationships with property owners, head office teams, and suppliers to optimise the property’s success.
  • Ensuring all services run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming community where residents feel valued, supported, and proud to call the building home.

About you:

  • You’re a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • You have proven experience managing a large residential, PBSA, or hospitality site where operational excellence and guest/resident satisfaction sit at the heart of what you do.
  • You’ll bring strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and driving performance.
  • Confidence in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • A calm, pragmatic approach to solving problems and managing competing priorities.
  • A passion for creating inspiring living environments and a genuine care for delivering quality experiences.
