Tenancy Progressor

We are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Tenancy Progressor to join a busy tenancy progression team in Reading.

You will play a key role in managing the tenancy journey from the point a holding deposit is received through to move-in and key collection. Working closely with tenants, landlords, lettings consultants and external partners, you will ensure every tenancy progresses smoothly, efficiently and in line with current legislation.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong lettings or property administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience.

The role:

  • Manage the full tenancy progression process from holding deposit to move-in.
  • Collect, review and issue all required compliance documentation and certificates.
  • Prepare tenancy agreements and coordinate signatures with all relevant parties.
  • Ensure move-in funds are received and cleared before the tenancy commencement date.
  • Work closely with lettings consultants to provide a seamless tenant journey.
  • Coordinate the collection and registration of tenancy deposits.
  • Keep tenants informed with clear, timely and professional updates.
  • Provide guidance and support to tenants throughout the pre-tenancy process.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all processes comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify potential delays or risks and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Build effective working relationships with tenants, landlords, internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Support consistently high customer service standards across every stage of the tenancy.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in tenancy progression, lettings administration, property management or a similar customer-focused role.
  • A strong understanding of UK tenancy legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant changes, including the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A highly organised and methodical approach to managing multiple tenancies.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues before they become problems.
  • A confident, professional and approachable manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
