Position Summary

The VFX Producer will oversee the bidding and production of London-based work as well as partnering with the Executive Producer, Visual Effects Supervisor and Animation Director to lead crew in fulfilling the Director\’s vision – on time and on budget, while maintaining the highest quality of work and ensuring ILM strategies and initiative progress forward.

Responsibilities include the proactive problem-solving and collaboration required for success, with oversight of budgets and schedules, ensuring work is produced to the quality and standards requested by the client on time and on budget, identifying best practices and approaches as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Partner with key creatives to develop the show approach plan and provide clients with estimates of budget and schedule requirements needed to complete the work.
  2. Share responsibility for the success of the entire ILM portfolio by proactively managing the show schedule; utilizing ILM’s global resources and 3rd party partners, where appropriate.
  3. During production, serve as principal London contact for non-creative issues, tracking and reporting progress of work, overall production schedule, budgeting and negotiating cost of work, and delivering cost/schedule changes to ensure the client is updated as needed. Responsible for assigned show / scope of London work P&L.
  4. Bring production issues to the attention of DOP and management as needed.
  5. Support, guide and mentor the show Production team.
  6. Work closely with ILM London Talent Managers to crew artists effectively.
  7. Evaluate EFC’s for assigned projects. Work with assigned producers and production accountants to provide management with early, consistent and accurate EFC reporting.
  8. Participate in Production & Capacity meetings and portfolio meetings as appropriate. Evaluate changes in schedule, body of work and provide advice on solutions for resource capacity/utilisation and complexity challenges.
  9. Partner with ILM San Francisco, Vancouver, Mumbai and Sydney Studio Producers, where applicable for the show, to determine communication framework and procedures on projects.
  10. Manage crew performance. Supervise assigned production staff, providing timely performance feedback to DOP and Production Talent Manager as appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Demonstrated success as a Visual Effects Producer on numerous large-scale productions within a facility.
  2. Proficient in project bidding and client relationship management.
  3. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  4. Experience with databases and wide range of production management tools (such as Shotgrid and Google Suite tools).
  5. Clear and effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
  6. Set-work may be required.

This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
