We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role is part of the TechOps, Quality & Systems Engineering (TQSE) team within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences, working closely with World Wide business, Global Information Security (GIS), and application teams across the company.

The Site Reliability Engineer will report to the Manager, Technology (TQSE).

What You’ll Do:

  • Support platforms and bring knowledge on systems, network, application stability, security, performance, capacity management, operational excellence, as well as documentation.

  • Assist in development and infrastructure with a strong awareness of security best practices and risk management. Advocate for standards while pushing for smarter, more effective ways of working.

  • Work directly with customers and product engineering teams to gather requirements and shape solutions. You value uncovering insights that inform better outcomes.

  • Participate in streamlining processes—reducing code, manual steps, and systems to boost velocity and efficiency. You’re comfortable writing code and building tools that support both infrastructure and development needs.

  • Collaborate with more senior members of the team and help elevate the team’s collective knowledge. Shadow operations and engineering teammates to deepen subject matter expertise and broaden platform understanding.

  • Break down strategy into actionable project objectives, ensure timely task completion, and share outcomes and insights across the organization.

  • Design, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot SDLC pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.

  • Document the technologies your team builds to ensure clarity, continuity, and knowledge sharing.

  • Proficiency with public cloud infrastructure and hosting solutions for product launches including Google, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, and private cloud systems.

  • You will be encouraged to stay up to date with emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years work related experience

  • Previous internship or large scale project experience

  • Have expert technical fundamentals including expert level command of unix system administration duties

  • Experienced with at least one of the following: Akamai

  • Familiarity with NodeJs, Java

  • Have worked with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or Gitlab

  • Preferred experience with alerting and monitoring tools such Appdynamics and Splunk

  • Familiarity with: SDLC Build and Release processes, Building docker images, and container orchestration: Kubernetes and ECS

  • Proficiency with one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Google, Microsoft

  • Proficiency with:

    • Terraform, Helm or Chef*

    • Networking basics (routing, firewalls, AWS security groups)

    • Troubleshooting / analysis of applications: Splunk, appdynamics, grafana, etc

    • OS performance troubleshooting and ability to install and configure operating system packages

  • Familiarity with

    • Oauth2

    • Security principles on patching, compliance, change control process

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Have expert Build/Release skills, work with product development teams across the enterprise to test in code delivery SDLC pipelines

  • Have expert monitoring skills, work on ensuring the tools that keep monitoring are up and effective at notifying guest- facing issues.

  • Have expert team communication skills, ensure that the larger team understands and approves of their solutions.

  • Have experience in Infrastructure as Code ( IAAS ) – you subscribe to Infrastructure as code mindset (Terraform, Helm, Chef)

  • Experience with chaos testing and relevant software (Gremlin, FIS)

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale and Anaheim CA is $114,900 – $154,100 per year and in Seattle, WA is $120,300 – $161,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered #J-18808-Ljbffr
