The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment related to the Reverse Osmosis plant, potable water production, and water storage facilities. This role also oversees the upkeep of wastewater treatment plant operations and on-stage water features, including water slides and wet decks. The position requires a commitment to promoting a safe work environment and adherence to all safety standards and company policies. As a field service role, it may involve working from ladders, elevated platforms, and confined spaces, with the flexibility to provide support to other departments as needed.
You will report to: Island Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the Reverse Osmosis, potable water making and water storage facilities plant operations.
- Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the on-stage water features to include water slides, wet decks, and others.
- Promote a safe work environment; comply with the safety competencies, and all company policies and procedures.
- This is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms as well as working in confined spaces.
- May provide lateral service to other departments.
- 3 to 4 years of experience as a Wastewater Treatment and Potable Water Plant Operator, with a proven track record in troubleshooting water production facilities, water storage, and wastewater systems.
- Experience with maintenance of pumps, chemical injection systems, wet deck water calibration, and related equipment is required.
- A diploma or certificate in RO and Wastewater Plant Operations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, and materials used in wastewater treatment facilities.
- Thorough understanding of the occupational hazards and safety precautions associated with wastewater and potable water treatment facilities.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining production systems within the facility.
- Ability to accurately estimate time and material requirements for maintenance tasks.
- Field service position that may involve working from ladders, elevated platforms, and in confined spaces.
