Head of Talent at Dishoom(Currently on Mat leave)
We’re on the hunt for someone experienced, super-organised, and big-hearted to join our ever-growing team at Dishoom! We’re looking for a real all-rounder to work across our brilliant tech operations, supporting our cafés, kitchens, and head office. This role will keep you busy, but never boring, from Dishoom’s Babu* House (head office) in Shoreditch to our Dishooms, Permit Rooms, Delivery Kitchens, and Bakery, you\’ll be playing a key role in keeping our tech running smoothly and our teams supported.
The role:
You’ll be part of a small, yet mighty tech team, always on the lookout for ways to keep Dishoom\’s tech ticking along beautifully. Whether it’s getting involved with Windows laptops or Apple Macs, sorting out WiFi glitches, or troubleshooting a POS system, you’ll be ready to jump in with your hands-on expertise. You’ll also play a big part in keeping our systems healthy, making sure that our tech assets are properly managed, and sharing knowledge to help everyone make the most of the tools they have.
About The Role:
- Bring experience and knowledge of network infrastructure, WiFi, switching, WAN/LAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Be the go-to person for our café leadership teams when it comes to tech issues, working closely with our managed service providers.
- Ideally have a background in systems administration or database management (or a passion for it!).
- Be a pro at creating easy-to-understand Tech SOPs that empower teams to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Stay up-to-date on Cyber Security and lend a hand when needed with investigations.
- Have previous experience with site openings (restaurant experience is a bonus!) from planning and procurement, to tech delivery and fit-outs.
- Take charge of our Tech space within team communications, ensuring everything runs smoothly from device management to troubleshooting.
- Help maintain our tech asset register, planning ahead for replacements and updates as needed.
- Be someone who’s as comfortable troubleshooting a POS printer as setting up a new iPad.
- Keep an eye on our tech budgets, balancing repairs vs. replacements, while ensuring we get the best value for our investment.
About You:
- You’ll be experienced in hospitality tech, with a track record of getting stuck in and solving complex issues.
- A true problem-solver with the ability to plan, manage projects from start to finish, and keep everything organised and running smoothly.
- Resourceful, resilient, and always ready to tackle the next challenge with a smile.
- A people person who’s great at communicating with all teams, making tech feel accessible and user-friendly.
- Naturally curious, always learning about the latest tech, and adapting to new challenges with ease.
- A true digital native, completely at home with online systems, cloud tools, and everyday tech.
- 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, and a couple of extra days to join us for team celebrations like our Family Mela or Christmas Party.
- A Dishoom Black card for monthly perks with your loved ones in our cafés.
- Access to a wide network of discounts for everything from flights to groceries.
- Subsidised gym & yoga memberships to keep you feeling your best.
- Ongoing support to continue developing your career with us.
- Plus, a team of ambitious, supportive, and lovely people to work alongside!
Sometimes things aren\’t an exact match. Maybe your skills are awesome, but don\’t tick every box or the salary needs a little tweak. We\’re way more interested in finding the right person who can grow with us.
So, if this role has your name all over it (or almost!), go ahead and apply!
