Our Chatter team helps Dishoom share its stories, from our cafés to our communities, and everything in between. We’re now looking for a Social Media Executive to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role suits someone who enjoys keeping things organised, cares about the details, and brings warmth and curiosity to their work. You’ll work closely with our Senior Social Media Manager to help deliver social media across Dishoom and Permit Room, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
About the Role
As our Social Media Executive, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our social channels, helping to bring campaigns, stories and content to life across Dishoom and Permit Room. You’ll be close to the action, scheduling content, engaging with our guests online, supporting content production, and helping us to learn what our audience loves most. No two days look quite the same!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Senior Social Media Manager in delivering our social media strategy across Dishoom and Permit Room, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Managing the day-to-day scheduling of posts, stories and campaigns, ensuring everything goes out accurately and on time.
- Looking after community management, responding to comments and messages, engaging with guests, and making sure every interaction reflects Dishoom’s warmth and hospitality.
- Working closely with our Guest Services team, helping to manage enquiries and escalating more complex issues when needed.
- Maintaining and updating the social content calendar, keeping activity aligned with wider marketing and PR plans.
- Supporting content production logistics, from coordinating freelancers and gathering assets, to organising files and lending a hand on shoot days.
- Assisting with social performance tracking, helping to gather insights and prepare reports on what’s working best.
- Keeping a close eye on social trends, emerging creators and cultural moments that feel right for Dishoom and Permit Room.
About You
You’re someone who enjoys being organised, dependable, thoughtful and who takes pride in doing the small things well. You’re confident engaging with people online, curious about what makes great content land, and excited to learn more about social media in a brand-led, hospitality setting. You’ll likely bring:
- 1–2 years’ experience managing or supporting social media for a brand, agency or hospitality business.
- A love of systems, processes and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a warm, considered approach to community engagement.
- A genuine passion for food, drink and storytelling.
- A collaborative mindset, bringing positivity, initiative and care to everything you do.
- Familiarity with social tools such as Meta Business Suite, and Dash Hudson (or similar).
- An understanding of the food and hospitality scene and enthusiasm for being part of it.
- A curiosity about South Asian culture and the Dishoom world (a big plus).
Benefits
- A huge summer festival (our Family Mela), Babus’ Day Out and a brilliant Christmas party.
- Regular team events and a weekly team lunch at Babu House.
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (and extra days for our Mela and Christmas party).
- A Dishoom Black Card with a monthly allowance to treat friends and family in our cafés.
- Delicious food from the café menu when working in cafés.
- Access to a wide discount network — from flights to groceries.
- Subsidised yoga and gym memberships.
- Ongoing support for your personal and professional development.
- An extra day off to take your little one to their very first day of school.
- A team of smart, kind and ambitious people creating something special together.
