What to expect
- Free team meals every shift, plus all the chai you can drink!
- £42,000‑47,000 per year inclusive of tronc; paid monthly.
- A full‑time role working 5 days a week, with Monday‑Sunday availability required.
- Weekly rota provided at least 6 days in advance.
- We’re an all‑day dining café, meaning our teams work a variety of daytime and evening shifts (not the usual always late nights!).
- Access to our award‑winning training programmes and support. We focus on your development from day one and proudly promoted 211 Dishoom‑wal le ss last year!
- The usual number of days holiday per year—paid at your usual rate. Sites closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; if you have children, we provide an extra day for their first school day.
- No uniforms required—smart/casual and comfortable, trainers are fine.
Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a team of 40‑50 staff across busy, high‑volume sites (≈8,000 covers per week).
- Maintain service standards, manage wait times (up to 90 minutes) in the most big‑hearted way.
- Coach and develop team members and foster a culture of high quality, safety and guest satisfaction.
- Work full‑time from Monday to Sunday, with a weekly rota scheduled at least 6 days in advance.
- Collaborate with other Babus to support each other and promote unreasonable hospitality.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Floor Manager in a high‑volume bar/restaurant environment.
- Strong service orientation and commitment to first‑class standards.
- Detail‑oriented, upholding the highest quality and safety standards.
- Leadership skills with a caring, big‑hearted approach to coaching.
- Ability to maintain guest and team happiness, turning regulars into friends.
