Dish’d – delivering restaurant quality virtual brands. We are an exciting start up and the UK’s fastest growing franchisor of virtual brands. We partner with independent food operators to use their kitchen capacity to increase their sales and profitability by selling our brands on delivery platforms within their area.
To support our rapid expansion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our UK team. Reporting into our Head of Franchising, you will be responsible for driving new partner growth identifying, pitching and closing food operators to become Dish’d franchise partners.
What will you do?
- Self-generate leads through identifying ideal partners, proactive outreach, cold calling and networking, alongside responding to warm inbound enquiries.
- Support the sales cycle from initial pitch through to deal close via phone, virtual and face-to-face meetings with restaurant, takeaway and dark kitchen operators.
- Use our CRM system to effectively manage your pipeline and give visibility to the wider team of your progress.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the wider operational team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for franchise partners.
- Get up to speed quickly with our model, to deliver 2+ franchise partners per month once fully onboarded.
- Support broader commercial and operational activities of the business as required.
Experience & Skills required:
- Completely fluent in English – written and spoken.
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in food, hospitality, franchising or a related sector.
- Proven track record of self-generating pipeline and closing deals, not just managing handed leads.
- Experience of consultative or solution-based selling where success comes from building trust and long-term relationships.
- Drive and energy required to close deals (whilst maintaining quality standards).
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently always adhering to agreed processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to think strategically and innovate.
