We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded independent hospitality business to recruit an experienced Head Chef to lead their kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, hands-on chef to take ownership of the food offering, develop seasonal menus and create memorable dining experiences built around quality produce, modern pub dining and locally inspired cuisine. You’ll have genuine creative freedom to put your own stamp on the menu while leading and developing a dedicated kitchen team and maintaining consistently high standards.
As Head Chef, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring excellent standards across food quality, service, kitchen management and compliance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Creating fresh, seasonal menus showcasing quality ingredients
- Developing exciting specials and event menus
- Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team
- Recruiting, training and mentoring chefs
- Managing stock, GP, food costs and kitchen budgets
- Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency and presentation
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, health & safety and compliance
- Working closely with front-of-house and wider management teams
- Supporting events and special occasions with creative food offerings
- Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and commercially
We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step, ideally with a background in busy fresh-food pubs, restaurants or similar hospitality environments. You’ll be:
