A talented head chef is required for a fast-paced casual fine dining grill and smokehouse restaurant commutable to Chesterfield, Bakewell & Sheffield. Recently opened, with all meats brined & smoked in-house, and all produce coming from the family estate, this is an ideal platform to establish yourself on the local dining scene.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute menus that meet the needs of the restaurant's customers
- Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Work with the restaurant's management team to ensure that the kitchen is operating efficiently
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Experience in menu planning
- Experience working in a smokehouse style kitchen would be an advantage
- Experience working as a head chef in a fresh food led kitchen is a must
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety compliance and latest allergen regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
