We require a sous chef to join the team providing a classically British menu with a few modern twists, with everything made in house. This really is a position that can put a real quality mark on your CV.

Ideal Candidate:

  • From a similar background, working with fresh food, be it in a hotel, restaurant or gastro pub environment.
  • Have experience working within a medium sized team, and have the skills to enthuse & engage junior chefs.
  • Experience running the kitchen in head chef's absence.
  • A keen eye for seasonal produce & experience in menu planning, stock control & kitchen management.
  • Have means of transport due to semi-rural location, although the Inn is commutable from Chesterfield, Mansfield & Bakewell, although accommodation options are available.
