This stunning country Inn, situated in this lovely village on the edges of the North Yorkshire Moors, is very well known for its high-quality food, location & atmosphere, & has successfully been serving a 2 rosette standard dining to locals and destination diners for a good number of years.
Our clients, who run a number of similar high-quality country Inns throughout North Yorkshire, are now looking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef to join the team in this lovely country Inn kitchen. Offering a great salary, annual salary review, short-term live-in for a relocation, and the opportunity to work with some of the best local ingredients North Yorkshire has to offer, this really is a great opportunity for a career-minded chef.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A proven background working in fresh food led kitchens, be it in hotel, gastro pub, or restaurant setting
- A CV that shows a steady progression through to Sous Chef, with longevity in roles, no jumpy chefs here!
- Experience working within a medium-sized team, and have the skills to enthuse & engage junior chefs
- Experience running the kitchen in Head Chef's absence

- Means of transport due to semi-rural location, although the Inn is commutable from York & Malton, & live-in is available.
