Our independent clients, who run this stunning Gastro pub, situated in this lovely village in the countryside commutable to York, Malton & Northallerton, are looking to recruit a hands-on, experienced Kitchen Manager to head up the talented team of chefs at this lovely historic Pub.
The menu is a mixture of classic Gastro pub dishes alongside modern takes, all served in an interesting way, and serves both the local and destination diners 7 days a week. The independent owners are well known for their high standards of food, 1st rate service, and quality of life their employees enjoy. This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced hands-on kitchen manager to build on the already very good reputation the pub holds in the area.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working in a fresh food led kitchen, be it gastro pub, hotel, or restaurant.
- Proven experience heading up a kitchen, be it as head chef, or as a Sous chef in the head chef's absence.
- Understanding of the latest H&S & allergen regulations.
- Sound kitchen management knowledge, including rotas, costings, and menu planning.
