Our clients operate this busy high-quality exclusive resort on the West Sussex Coast and are looking to recruit an innovative, creative, and passionate Head Chef to oversee the team of talented chefs in this very well looked after kitchen, which is only a few years old.


Serving an all-day menu in a relaxed setting, you will be responsible for creating exciting new menus on a regular basis, based on seasonal and local produce.


The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  1. Experienced head chef with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, able to show drive and creative flair.
  2. Experience in menu development and costings.
  3. A good understanding of P&L accounts, stocks, compliance, and KPIs.
  4. Self-driven and proven leadership skills.
  5. Experience in developing and training staff.
  6. Have a professional, outgoing, and positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
  7. A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos and high standards every day in service and management.
  8. Understanding of the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.
  9. Experience working in a similar sized venue, be it large multi-outlet hotel or resort, and within a ‘hands-on’ management structure.
  10. Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you.
  11. Be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the kitchen team.
  12. Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.
