Our clients operate this stunning refurbished 50+ room 4-star hotel based in the heart of Northumberland providing rosette standard dining in their casual fine dining gastro pub style restaurant.
This lovely hotel, situated in this quaint seaside village commutable to Alnwick & Belford, is looking to recruit an experienced Head Chef to head up the kitchen & lead the very talented team in this modern kitchen, with an emphasis on local, seasonal foods, cooked using modern & interesting techniques. This really is a great opportunity for a career-minded chef to make a name for themselves, working in a very supportive environment for the region\’s leading Independent Gastro pub & Hotel group.
The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experienced head chef with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, able to show drive and creative flair.
- Experience in menu development & costings.
- A good understanding of P&L accounts, stocks, compliance and KPI’s
- Self-driven and proven leadership skills
- Experience in developing and training staff.
- Have a professional, outgoing and positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos & high standards.
- Experience working in a similar sized venue, be it large multi outlet hotel or resort, and within a ‘hands-on’ management structure.
- Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you & lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the kitchen team.
- Have the ability to self-manage and adapt to changing situations.
- Understanding of the latest allergen, H&S requirements and due diligence compliance is a must.
