A quaint gastro pub situated in the heart of this lovely spa town, benefiting from a recent complete refurb, is looking to recruit a forward-thinking head chef to head up the small team in the modern kitchen, supported by the group executive chef and with a superb back of house structure in place made to make you succeed. This is the ideal position for an aspiring chef to really push on and make a name for themselves.
The company ethos is all about sustainability and local produce, with the game coming from the local estate, and fish from the East Coast. With some great local suppliers and extensive gardens the company oversees, the produce used here is second to none.
The ideal Chef will be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of game, and the prep and cooking of fresh game
- Experience self-managing, as this is a small operation where the Head Chef may be working alone
- A proven fresh food led background, ideally to a Rosette standard, be it Gastro, Restaurant or Hotel
- A desire to innovate & create, and be excited by local seasonal products
- A sound understanding of kitchen management.
