We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join a well-established and highly regarded restaurant in Todmorden. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce and a quality-led, from-scratch kitchen. The restaurant has a strong focus on honest, well-executed food, with locally sourced ingredients, seasonal menus and a wood-fired oven at the heart of the operation. The menu covers pizza, pasta, small plates and modern British-style dishes, with plenty of scope for creativity and development.

The Role

  • Head Chef position with full responsibility for the kitchen operation
  • Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
  • Maintain consistently high food and presentation standards
  • Create and develop seasonal menus and daily specials
  • Work closely with local suppliers and make the most of fresh produce
  • Oversee kitchen ordering, stock control and GP
  • Ensure excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards
  • Lead service and remain hands-on within the kitchen
  • Support the continued development and reputation of the restaurant

The Ideal Candidate

  • We are looking for an established Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef ready to step up who has a strong fresh-food background and enjoys working in a busy, quality-focused restaurant.
  • You will need to be:
    • Passionate about food and fresh, seasonal ingredients
    • A confident and hands-on kitchen leader
    • Experienced in running a busy restaurant kitchen
    • Strong on kitchen organisation, standards and consistency
    • Comfortable developing menus and specials

    • Calm and professional during busy services
